Create Happiness For the Street Children by Doing Your Bit

We have just celebrated our independence day, but are we really free? This fact keeps floating each time debates take place. It is very important to understand how far have we come. Even though, we recently celebrated 72nd independence day, we still see street children around us everyday. Until, we give them a happy childhood, it is difficult to claim that we have actually attained independence.

Every year, thousands of children elope from their homes to escape abuse or domestic violence. They mostly end up surviving all by themselves on streets. This leaves no space for them to receive education, shelter or basic amenities. Salaam Baalak Trust works hard to give them the life they deserve. In this process, SBT is consistently working on organizing campaigns for the betterment of these children. The NGO has recently started with a monsoon campaign that emphasizes on giving away all that you don’t need anymore.

A lot of children live in different shelter homes of Salaam Baalak Trust. They often require day-to-day things from time to time. You as a donor can help in this regard. If you want to donate for child education, you can give your notebooks, pens, pencils and other stationery items (the ones you do not use and the things that are in good condition). You can also give things like toiletries, daily utilities etc. It is not always that money matters, but it is the love and compassion that do.

Salaam Baalak Trust has been working relentlessly for the underprivileged children for more than two decades now. As a matter of fact, a lot of children get opportunities to study abroad and seek a better life through SBT. These children become really successful and with them, comes a tone of learning. The underprivileged children hold the same rights as normal children do. They should receive it.
