What is CG PET 2019?

Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test or in short Cg Pet 2019 is a state level entrance exam for various engineering courses. The board which organizes this examination is Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB). The exam is going to take place tentatively in the month of May 2019. This examination is conducted once in a year in offline mode. There are two slots available for this examination, candidates can choose the slot of their own choice at the time of filling the Application Form. The Application Form is required to be filled and submitted online on the official website after fulfilling all the eligibility criteria commanded by the board. Application Forms sent to the website without satisfying the eligibility, then that particular Application will get cancelled. The first and last date to apply for this examination is the 4th week of March 2019 and the 3rd week of April 2019 respectively. Application Form

• Before learning about the CG PET Application Form 2019, it is important to know the Eligibility Criteria for this examination. The students who are eligible are only allowed to apply. Others do not apply because eventually the wrong Application Form will get cancelled. The Eligibility Criteria is given below:

1. The candidate has to be an Indian National and must be the resident of Chhattisgarh.
2. Those who are going to give the final exam for 10+2 boards are also eligible to apply for this examination.
3. Students who are willing to apply for the Engineering Courses must have a passing degree of 10+2 board’s exam certified by a recognized board. The minimum qualifying marks required in the degree is 45% (for general category) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and any Technical Vocational as subjects. For SC, ST, OBC, and PwD category students the minimum qualifying marks required is 40% (with the subjects mentioned before).

Also, the candidates must have appeared in the JEE Main exam.

• The Application Form is going to be released online on the official website by the 4th week of March 2019. Candidates are required to carefully fill out the Application Form because no changes can be made once the Form is submitted on the website. Upload the required images in JPEG format after scanning them (Recent Passport Size Photograph, Signature, and Thumb Impression).
• The Application Fee has to be submitted along with the Application Form. No Application is going to be accepted without its Application Fee. The fee is to be submitted online or through bank Challan to any SBI Branch. The Application Fee for this exam is given below:

1. General: Rs. 200
2. OBC: Rs. 150
3. SC, ST, PWD: Rs. 100

• Note down your registration number after the submission of Application Form. The last date to submit the Application Form is the 3rd week of April 2019. Applications submitted after this date are not going to be accepted by the exam conducting body. To avoid such a circumstance it is important to apply on time.

Admit Card

• The Admit Card will release on the 1st week of May 2019. The CG PET Admit Card 2019 will be sent to the candidates through the post on their respective address. Also, candidates can get the Admit Card on the official website by entering their registration number.
• If anyone finds out any kind of mistake on the Admit Card it is important that you immediately inform the issue to the concerned authority. Wrong Admit Card is not going to be accepted on the day of the examination.
• It is compulsory for all the candidates to carry their respective Admit Card to the exam hall on the day of the examination. Anyone found without the Admit Card won’t be permitted to give the exam. It is also important for all the candidates to carry one extra identity proof like Aadhar Card, etc along with the Admit Card on the exam day.
• Please keep the Admit Card carefully after the examination for any future purpose.

The Pattern of the Exam

• The date of the examination is the 2nd week of May 2019. This examination is going to be conducted offline (pen and paper test). Only objective type questions are going to be asked in the exam. You are required to select one correct answer out of many different options.
• The subjects that will come for the exam are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each individual subject will carry 50 questions, therefore, there are going to be 150 questions in total. 1 mark is going to be awarded for every correct answer.
• The exam is going to be conducted in two shifts, Morning and Afternoon. The total time given for this examination is 3 hours.
• The exam conducting body will publish an Answer Key after the exam is completed. Candidates can cross-check their own answers with the ones given on the Answer Key and guess their marks before the official Result is being announced.

Result

• The Result will declare on the 1st week of June 2019. The Result is going to be announced online on the official website.
• The Counselling Process will begin immediately after the announcement of the Result. The candidates are required to attend the Counselling carrying all the necessary documents.
