The Saint Lucia Jazz Festival is an event that takes place every year bringing in people from all around the world. They boast both local and international musicians performing jazz, R&B, and Calypso. Therefore, you know this festival packs a punch when it comes to all that it has to offer. Although it is referred to as the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival by some, it is now officially named the Soliel Summer Jazz Festival.

It is such a popular event that it is ranked second in things to do in the Caribbean just below the Trinidad Carnival. Interestingly, the first Saint Lucia or Soleil Jazz Festival took place in the early 1990’s, led valiantly by Luther Francois who served as the Musical Director. In the beginning, there were four areas that were used for highlighting their performers. Today the festival has attracted more attention and expanded to the point where they have performances happening all around the island. If you find yourself in the area while this festival is going on, swing by—you won’t regret it.
