Posted: Oct 10, 2018
Dubai is one of those cities in the world today that has managed to balance its profound traditions and a world-class, modern infrastructure. It is the largest city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is the capital of the Emirate of Dubai. More than 14 million tourists visit this part of UAE every year from different parts of the world. It also hosts the Dubai Shopping Festival every year that offers a memorable shopping experience for the shopaholics. While getting around in this Emirati city, you'll get to explore its awe-inspiring attractions.
The most prominent attraction is Burj Khalifa. It is the tallest building that exists in the world today and has an overall height of 2,722 feet. Its observation deck located on the 124th floor gives you some astonishing views of the city's skyline. Most of the Dubai holiday packages allow you to get to this observation deck using the high-speed elevators of this magnificent building. This observation deck can also be visited after sunset, as the views that the visitors get to enjoy after the city's lights come alive is absolutely stunning. It is advisable to book the entrance ticket in advance if you're planning your trip during the weekend.
Your Dubai holidays would also give you the chance to explore the Dubai Mall, which is the city's most fabulous shopping complex. It is the world's second largest mall in terms of total area and has more than a thousand shops. This mall houses the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, which has over 300 species of aquatic beings. If you're travelling with your entire family, your children can have an exciting time at the VR Park Dubai and KidZania. The mall is also home to a 22-screen megaplex called Reel Cinemas. You can have a unique dining experience at Rainforest Cafe, a themed restaurant.
A visit to the Dubai Museum during your all inclusive Dubai holidays would allow you to explore some traditional musical instruments and other interesting exhibits. This museum is housed in Al-Fahidi Fort, which was built in the late-18th century for defending the Dubai Creek. During the early days, it served as the ruling family's residence and was also used as a seat of the local government and even as a prison. After undergoing two restorations, it has become the most popular museum in recent times. You can also witness several exhibits that provide an insight into the life of the Bedouins.
Considered as the most beautiful of all the mosques in Dubai by many, the Jumeirah Mosque is an attraction that you can't afford to miss while exploring the city. It is a beautiful example of Islamic architecture and has been built in the medieval Fatimid style. This particular mosque appears more attractive during the evenings when the floodlights are lit. Guided tours of this mosque are arranged by the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Cultural Understanding. You can know more about the Muslim faith during these tours. This mosque is also believed to be the most photographed mosque in Dubai.
