Itinerary DetailDay 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Then Transfer To Hotel

On your arrival to Kathmandu from Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), the representative from Nepal Holiday Treks and Tours welcome you and then you shall be transferred to the categorized Hotel in Kathmandu to which you are comfortable with.

Day 02: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding

This morning take a scenic flight to Lukla, gateway to the Everest region flying over the Langtang and Jugal ranges that surround the Kathmandu basin and the Rolwaling Himal. After lunch at the riverside village of Ghat, we begin our expedition with a series of short trekking days to ensure we acclimatize. Following the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, we begin our ascent to Phakding where we spend the night.

Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche bazaar

Crossing the river on a large suspension bridge we head over to Jorsale and continue trekking along the river today. The trail climbs out of the valley to Monjo where we enter the Everest National Park. Continuing on, we make a steep ascent to reach Namche Bazaar, our resting place for the night. Namche Bazaar is the gateway to the Himalayas and a famous trading place.

Day 04: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar

Besides rest day, we shall do activities that might help us acclimatize faster in many ways for our journey ahead. Namche is called for its colourful and lively nature. Namche has interesting shops and a Saturday market full of crowds. You will find warm welcoming Sherpa; there you will be able to learn their culture as well as their cultural museum for the better understanding of the mountaineering in the region, the history, the habitat, flora and fauna, etc. You should see the view of the Mount Everest Lhotse, beautiful Ama Dablam and other nearby peaks, from the Everest view hotel, which is marvellous. You can also visit the twin villages of Khumjung and Khunde for their ancient monasteries with old age heritage, school and hospital constructed by Edmund Hillary Foundation. These are the popular day hike destinations from Namche Bazaar. Tomorrow we will begin our journey for the better destination.

Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

Trekking to higher altitude must be short with steep climbing. During the trek, we will see the dense forest and other vegetation. Reaching Dudh Koshi River and climbing on to Phunke Tenga through several suspension bridges and some hamlets will be very interesting as it is easier and becomes little stiffer when we climb up. Climbing nearly for one and half hours to 2 hours, the ascent of Tengboche will lead you to beautiful Rhododendron forest. Climbing to higher places is not easy and you should climb with ease so that you might not get altitude sickness. In Tengboche, you are likely to visit an ancient monastery which is famous for Rimdu festival, the huge statue of Lord Buddha, wall paintings and peaceful chants by the monks. And also the sceneries of the mountain will amaze you.

Day 06: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

Today we shall head for another interesting village i.e Dingboche. Today heading towards village lets you have a glance of lofty Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse and others. In this trial, we will see the musk deer, monal and blue sheep and cross the exciting suspension bridge. Ahead in the trail, we will have the alpine vegetation as we pass the landscape with scrub juniper and tundra. Dingboche is a small village with stone wall house, with fields for cultivation.

Day 07: Acclimatization day at Dingboche

We shall have an important day before reaching the ultimate destination. We can utilize the day with short hikes to higher altitudes to be adopted by the climate. There we will experience breathtaking views. Short hike to the hill behind Dingboche will be another option that provides us with lots of peaks. Stay overnight in Dingboche and prepare for the next day trek.

Day 08: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

Ascending upwards meets trekking past chortens, Mani walls and stupas. We move forward for the beautiful tabuche peak. An hour of trek leads us to a height of the high ground overlooking the Khumbu valley, called chukpo lari, their monuments are made in the remembrance of the mountaineers who lost their lives during the conquest. The overnight will be in Lobuche.

Day 09: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep Via EBC

The day is over; you will be reaching to Everest Base Camp today as the destination. Early morning trek for today, after having breakfast. This is a short distance but somewhat challenging at the present altitude. From here we can follow in the footsteps of the late, great Sir Edmund Hillary and trek up to Everest Base Camp, where he and Tenzing Norgay began their immense, record-breaking expedition to reach the highest Peak on Earth! Take in the atmosphere and witness the ‘expedition life’ of those present-day mountaineers attempting to reach the summit. After a few hours of trek, we will reach Gorakshep.

Day 10: Trek From Gorak Shep to Pangboche Via Kala Patthar

On day 10 we climb Kala Pattar for arguably the most magnificent mountain vista in the world – the west and south face of Everest, so close you can even see the incredible climbing route from base to summit. We descend back to Gorkashep for a rest before continuing our journey to Pheriche for the night.

Day 11: Trek from Pangboche to Namche Bazaar

Our route today starts back through the long walled paths of the Pheriche Village and a gradual ascent along the flanks of the hills below the village before a drop to the Duh Koshi. A little further the route joins the main trail coming from Pheriche. We pass through the village of Pangbouche and stop for lunch in Thyangbouche. After lunch, we descend steeply to Phunki Tanga. After a short break, we start the uphill climb to Shanasa where they’ll be the opportunity to purchase traditional souvenirs from Tibetan traders. From Shanasa, we take an easy trail to reach Namche Bazaar.

Day 12: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Today we retrace our steps downhill through the beautiful forest landscapes, continuing back to Jorsale, here we leave the national park before stopping for a rest in Monjo. We further re-trace our steps along the Dudh Kosi, crossing to the western bank at Benkar. Lunch will be taken at Phakding and in the afternoon we ascend out of the river valley back to the airstrip and our lodge accommodation at Lukla.

Day 13: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

We fly back to Kathmandu to spend our final days at leisure. Sightsee, shop or simply relax after our exhausting but momentous adventure – the choice is yours!

Day 14: Departure

On this day, you shall be transferred to the International Airport at least 3 hours before your flight for the onward destination by a representative of Nepal Holiday Treks and Tours.
