The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized 11 properties of Nirav Modi in Dubai. Its total value is estimated to be around 56.8 crores. ED has taken this action under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Seized properties include property of Firearsh Diamond FZE, group company of Neerav Modi. Nirav Modi is absconding from the country even before the PNB scam appears. Neerav and his uncle Mahul Choksi took a loan of thousands of crores on the basis of fake documents. Mama-nephew left the country even before the pot broke out.

Modi-Choksi had lobbied with PNB over Rs 13,000 crore through fraudulent documents, collusion with some employees of the Mumbai branch of the bank.
