The Indian investigating agency has taken big action against Neerav Modi, accused of thousands of crores scam in Punjab National Bank. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized 11 properties of Nirav Modi in Dubai. Its total value is estimated to be around 56.8 crores. ED has taken this action under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Seized properties include property of Firearsh Diamond FZE, group company of Neerav Modi. Nirav Modi is absconding from the country even before the PNB scam appears. Neerav and his uncle Mahul Choksi took a loan of thousands of crores on the basis of fake documents. Mama-nephew left the country even before the pot broke out.

Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi had left India even before thousands of crores scam in Punjab National Bank came out. Modi-Choksi had lobbied with PNB over Rs 13,000 crore through fraudulent documents, collusion with some employees of the Mumbai branch of the bank. It is believed to be the biggest scam in the banking sector so far. After the scandal was exposed, the ED along with the CBI had also started investigations. In the meantime, Choksi also acquired foreign citizenship. According to the media report, Neerav Modi also tried to get foreign citizenship, but the success was not achieved.

ED has left no stone unturned in taking action against the absconding businessman, Nirav Modi, by placing thousands of crores of rupees to PNB. Nevertheless, it is not easy for the investigating agency to recover the amount of money by selling Modi properties. The investigating agency has seized properties worth hundreds of crores. After the PNB scam has surfaced, many bank scams have come up in different parts of the country. It was executed through loan forgery.

After exposing the PNB scandal, politics became even faster on this issue. Congress President Rahul Gandhi directly attributed it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Let us know that Neerav Modi was also included in the delegation of Indian businessmen at the World Economic Forum summit in Davos (Switzerland). This team had also photographed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After coming in front of this picture the opposition had become more aggressive against PM Modi.
