The city of Agra has always been popular among thousands of tourists every year who are left shocked in awe as their sights shift from one structure to another. This historic city is crisscrossed by old forts and mausoleums and ruins of the glorious past. If all you want is to get lost in the beautiful catacomb of Mughal architecture where every wall speaks its own story and every fort has its own history, get on a train to Agra where even a day spent wandering around will give you a lot to admire as you slowly absorb the grandeur of Mughal architecture and its intricacy. Even if that doesn’t excite you, how about watching one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal, a symbol of undying love built so beautiful that even after two hundred years later, it still stands strong with hundreds of people dying to catch a glimpse of it. While no one can deny the beauty of making memories while sightseeing in the city, unknown paths and the tedious job to plan everything can get you trapped in the hustle and bustle of the city, which is why here is a concise and accurate (according to me)post on to ease the task for you.

Visit the peaceful and beautiful mausoleum of Mumtaz Mahal (the Taj Mahal), explore the spectacular forts from the 18th century, bustling bazaars and what not.

MORNING – DELHI TO AGRA

We will pick you up from your hotel in Delhi and drive you to the city of Agra which is approximately 206 km away. You can expect a turnaround time of about four hours. On arrival, after taking a little break, we will start with a guided tour of the city starting with a visit to the Taj Mahal. It is a mausoleum made of ivory white marble known for its grand architecture. Located on the bank of the Yamuna River, its pure white walls were intricately carved into various patterns and then filled with gold and precious stones. Then we will further proceed to the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home of the Mughal Dynasty before the capital of the entire Mughal kingdom was shifted to Delhi. This fort is actually a walled city with various structures typical to the Mughal style of construction such as high arches, patterned windows, and etcetera. This will be followed by a hearty lunch after which we will be visiting the bazaars in case you guys want to buy handicrafts and embroidered works from here which I must admit are some of the most beautiful handicrafts I have ever seen. After snaking through the market, we will once again leave Agra for a visit to Fatehpur Sikri, another town reminiscent of the Mughal period. This place houses the Buland Darwaza, a 54-meter tall arching door and the tomb of Fatehpur Chisti. After exploring this wonderful small town, you can take some time if you want to click photographs or rest but at exact 6 pm, you will be dropped back to Delhi – we will be providing transfers to airport/railway station and our services will end here.
