These days' candidates have become brave and confident enough to ask questions to their interviewer that shows that are interested in the role, serious about the company and also ensure that the new job venture is right for them. Though attrition rate can be due to many other factors yet holistically this will give a picture of employee satisfaction.

What is the Employee Satisfaction survey score?

There are numerous employee satisfaction surveys held these days by companies. These surveys touch upon all the aspects of employee's engagement starting from salary satisfaction to perks. This can also include the workstations' condition, facilities management, cafeteria management etc. By knowing the recent held employee satisfaction survey score, it will reflect the employee engagement with the company and one can know how acceptable the company is to its present employees.

Why did the earlier employee who previously held job leave?

This will give a fair idea of what challenges the earlier employee had to face and one may have to face in future. But interviewee should keep in mind that there can be a possibility that the reason given during the exit interview is different from the actual one.

What will be the growth path in the next 5 Years?

Knowing your growth path is very necessary as one can't be held to a single position for long. Understanding the growth path will help one visualize his future in the new company. This will also give a better understanding that how serious the company is about individual development.

Current standing and future plans of the company

Working under a big banner is always an added advantage as it gives you more job security. The status of the company will determine one's stay in the company and if the company ranking is good it will also enhance the chances of rising in the organization.

What is the hierarchy of the organization?

There are some companies which work completely on anarchy and their manager is always right while other companies might allow their employees to have a say and whosoever is right irrespective of their current position is heard. Working in such a company is a pleasant experience and knowing about hierarchy will help one know the work culture.

What is exactly required from the person on this job?

Knowing about the exact work domain will make one understand the pressure the company is going to levy on him once he accepts the job offer. There may be some domains where one can take pressure easily but can be uneasy with others. Hence it is important to know what exactly is in store for you is important.

Till what level employees are allowed for risk-taking?

In some companies, the manager is good and employees' work domain is restricted to only the work which the manager allocates. This hinders the employee's creativity. The answer to the above said question will make one know how much of freehand the company is giving to its employees.
