SMOOTHIE (STRAWBERRY BANANA) (No Artificial Sugars Added)

A smoothie is a blended puree of ingredients usually including fruits. Today I am going to share one of the healthy smoothie recipes, Strawberry banana smoothie. This smoothie recipe is delicious, quick, easy to make and one of the best smoothie recipes for breakfast.

Healthy eating is something everyone aims at. With our fast-paced lives, only a few of us achieve that goal. One of the major lack in our diet is that of fruits and vegetables, which are a high source of vitamins, minerals, water and the much-needed fibres. One fruit smoothie every morning can help you get closer to your daily goal of needed vitamins and fibres.

Delicious Smoothie

Strawberry banana smoothie is one of the most common, probably the first ever made smoothies. It can be made in a number of ways, according to your choice. I am going to share a few ways to make this smoothie without adding refined sugar to it. I am going to include a couple of ways to make this considering our vegan friends. Also, at the end I will list a few optional ingredients to add more nutrients to it.

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

The Minimaistic Smoothie ( For 2 glasses) (Vegan version)

Ingredients:

Strawberries - 1/2 Cup (cleaned )

banana - 1 Ripe peeled

Dates - 4

Ice or Water or a Combination of both- 1/4th Cup

How to make it:

Add all the ingredients in the blender and mix it until the mixture is smooth in consistency.

Basic Strawberry Banana Smoothie (For 2 glasses)

Ingredients:

Strawberries - 1/2 Cup (cleaned )

banana - 1 Ripe peeled

Dates - 4

Milk / Greek yoghurt -1/4th Cup

How to make it:

Add all the ingredients in the blender and mix it until the mixture is smooth in consistency.

Ingredients To Make Your Smoothies Even More Nutritious:

Below are the ingredients I swear by while I make ANY smoothy, ok I use at least two of the below mentioned three ingredients in every smoothy I make!! So here are my special ingredients;

Shredded Coconut ( 1 tbsp ) - This can be added either at the end when you collect your delicious smoothie in a container or blend it with other ingredients if you don't like bits of it in your mouth while you enjoy your smoothie.

Chia Seeds (1 tsp ) - Chia seeds can be added either at the end or during blending (I prefer them at the end because it's the best way to get its health benefits)

Hemp Seeds ( 1 tsp ) - Like Chia seeds Hemp seeds can also be added either at the end or during blending. I prefer adding whole hemp hearts to my smoothie at the end, blending them might give a mushy taste.

Nutrition Value Of The Ingredients Used In The Recipe :

Strawberry - Low in Calories, High in fibres, High in Vitamin C, Contain Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, a good source of manganese and potassium, also contains minimal amounts of other minerals and a small amount of protein.

Banana - Rich source of Potassium, Contain some Magnesium and folate, also has small amounts of other vitamins and minerals, High in fibre.

Dates - High in fibre, a good source of Calcium and Iron, Contains Vitamin A, Excellent source of natural sugar.

Coconut - Contains good fat, High in fibre, Also contains some amount of Iron, a great source of minerals like potassium magnesium, sodium.

Chia Seed - Contain omega fatty acids, a source of vegan protein, high in fibre, a good source of Calcium and Iron.

Hemp Seeds - Good source of vegan protein, high in Iron and potassium, Excellent source of Manganese, magnesium, thiamin, phosphorous, copper, zinc and also Vitamin E.

Milk - Rich source of Protein, also contain Calcium, Vitamin D and Vitamin A.

Greek Yogurt - Good source of Calcium, Protein and Probiotics.
