StrEATlife Street Food & Craft Beer Festival 2018
Posted: Jan 28, 2019
This year, head out to Alexandra’s Palace and be part of its legendary StrEATlife Street Food + Craft Beer Festival 2018.
Fondly called the Ally Pally, the place is host to many events all throughout the year. One of its most iconic events though is this Street Food and Craft Beer Festival — where the entire 196-acre park is transformed into a lively mix of music, food, beer, and pure fun.
The festival runs for four weekends in the summer. This year, it happens on May 26–27, then on June 23–24, July 28–29, and August 18.
Visitors and locals alike get to sample a wide assortment of street food, craft beers, and cocktails. Participants in the festival include more than 30 of London’s top craft beer bars and street food vendors.
Foodies will surely enjoy the large array of things to try. There’s paella, barbecues, waffles, churros, arancina, pizza, tapas, ice cream, and even whole foods and vegan or vegetarian options. They can also rejoice with the taste of different local cuisines. If they want to have a taste of Malaysian cuisine, they can search for Selesa Restaurant Kensington which will serve them delicious Malaysian food along with the best dining facilities.
There are cocktail bars, a pin-up brewery, and a tiki bar as well. Sample drinks such as unique cocktails, classic favorites, world-famous bottled beers, and unique craft beers.
Some of the vendors to look out for are Mama’s jerk, The Gin Trailer, Le Bao, Pink Cactus, Shocka Coconut, Pimms Bar, Dash Concepts Cocktails, Antonino’s Pizza, Mother Clucker, and many more.
On Saturdays during the festival, DJ sets will be featured to liven up the entire venue. DJs that will attend include Frank Turner (on May), The Foals (in June), Scratch Perverts (in July), and Jazzie B (in August). The festival will also have live street art and graffiti.
Since it opened in 1873, this place has become a true entertainment venue. Called as The People’s Palace, the Ally Pally continues to be the hub for lively entertainment — from sports to music, and everything in between.
While visiting this festival, the visitors looking for good accommodation can go for hotels like Park City Grand Plaza Kensington which will provide them luxurious stay with the best facilities.
To get to the venue from your hotels in Kensington London, you can choose to take the W3 or the Alexandria rail. You may also take the Wood Green underground station. This is the nearest on the Piccadilly Line. Exit the Wood Green Station and take Stop A. Board the W3 bus that will take you all the way to Alexandria Palace. The W3 runs every 6 to 10 minutes on Saturdays and 9 to 10 minutes on Sundays.
The visitors can also visit many great places as London has many incredible street food markets and popular places where they can enjoy delicious and high-quality street food from Taiwanese style buns to Mexican, Italian and modern British.
