New York City is a place where you can have some memorable experiences during your holiday. It has many architectural delights, elegant restaurants, trendy art venues, and plenty of other offerings for its visitors. Getting around in various places in the city is a delight with many different things packed in its small streets, such as cafes and bookstores. Some parts of New York give you the feeling of being in a totally different world. When the sun goes down in this part of the world, the bars and nightclubs come alive with a range of exciting stuff to make your time after dark truly exciting.

Your cheap holidays to New York can be made truly memorable with a visit to the Statue of Liberty, the most popular attraction in the city. Built in the late nineteenth century, this huge monument was a gift of France to the United States of America. It is among the largest statues in the world with an approximate height of 93 metres and a total weight of 450,000 pounds. Upon making reservations well in advance, you'll get the opportunity to go right up to the crown of this statue. You can have a close look at the Statue of Liberty by taking a short trip in a boat to Liberty Island.

If you're an art lover, the Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the places you must definitely visit during your New York holidays. This particular museum is known among the city's residents as 'The Met'. One of the most renowned museums in the USA, the Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded in the year 1870. It houses over 2 million works of art in its permanent collection, which spans a period of 5,000 years. This collection includes Egyptian art, American decorative arts, photographs, arms, costumes, musical instruments, armour, and many other items.

Many in the USA and other parts of the world have not yet forgotten the terrorist attacks on the twin towers of the World Trade Center, which once dominated the city's skyline. The National September 11 Memorial and Museum is a tribute to nearly 3,000 people killed in these attacks and must not be missed during your New York holidays. Where the two towers once stood, you'll find two square reflecting pools of an acre each in size. Between these two pools is the museum, where artefacts, videos, and photos tell the story of the attacks and their impact.

After going through a busy schedule of sightseeing in the city, you can unwind in Central Park, a 2.5-mile long and half-a-mile wide urban park located in the Manhattan area. It became America's most visited urban park in the year 2013 with 40 million visitors. Established in the mid-19th century, its expanded and improved version was designed by Calvert Vaux and Frederick Law Olmsted. This park has many interesting attractions within its boundaries, such as the Central Park Zoo, Strawberry Fields, and the Belvedere Castle. It is one of the places, which makes New York City liveable.
