The light-weight feature of the linen saree is well hidden in its weaving pattern, linen is weaved little loose, as a tight weave will make the saree heavy and will easily get damaged. Linen saree has gained immense popularity over the period of time and is well known for its strength and durability. This saree is easy to maintain and requires little care compared to other sarees. Besides it also resists stains and dirts and has no pilling tendency and after subsequent washes the fabric become softer. The saree can withstand high temperatures and has moderate initial shrinkage and can be machine-washed, steamed and dry-cleaned.
