Know about JIPMER Syllabus

JIPMER MBBS is the exam which is conducted offline, this exam is conducted normally in 120 cities and it is taken in two of the shifts which are morning shift and evening shift. It is expected that all the students who have applied for the exam will get their hall ticket for the exam by May 20, 2019. This year the exam is expected to be held on June 02, 2019.

This whole exam is conducted in English medium and it contains several objective types of questions (MCQ).

JIPMER Marking:
  • For every correct answer, they give +4

  • For every wrong answer, they will give -1

  • JIPMER Syllabus is basically dependent on the basis of the syllabus of State Board Hr. Secondary and on the basis of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for class XI and XII.

There are 200 questions in the JIPMER Exam Pattern and the split of questions are like

  • From Physics there will be 60 questions

  • From Chemistry there will be 60 questions

  • From Biology, there will be 60 questions

  • From English, there will be 10 questions

  • From Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning, there will be 10 questions

Physics Syllabus:

In JIPMER Syllabus all the concepts are from NCERT, and the basics are only modified and moderated to check all the skills of the students and to have a detailed view of the concept. Basically, they want to judge out that student is cleared with the basics or not.

The syllabus follows concepts of Physical World and Measurement, Electrostatics, Kinematics, Current Electricity, Laws of Motion, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Work, Energy and Power, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Electromagnetic Waves, Gravitation, Optics, Properties of Bulk Matter, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Thermodynamics, Atoms and Nuclei, Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Electronic Devices, Oscillations and Waves.

Chemistry Syllabus:

Chemistry is again where the concepts are tested so that students can have core knowledge of the syllabus provided by the CBSE.

They want to test students on the basis of the following concepts:

Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Solid state, Structure of Atom, Solutions, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Electrochemistry, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Chemical Kinetics, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Surface Chemistry, Thermodynamics, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, Equilibrium, p-Block elements, Redox Reactions, d and f Block Elements, Hydrogen, Coordination Compounds, S-Block Elements, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Some p-Block Elements, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Organic Chemistry- Some Basic Principles and Techniques, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Hydrocarbons, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Environmental Chemistry, Biomolecules, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life.

Biology Syllabus:

Students must have a thorough knowledge of all the required concepts and should be able to deal with the problems given to them. Because if the students are not thorough with the concepts of Biology then admission in the medical field could be a challenge

So students must understand these concepts Diversity in Living World, Reproduction, Structural Organization in Animals and Plant, Genetics and Evolution, Cell Structure and Function, Biology and Human Welfare, Plant Physiology, Biotechnology and its Applications, Human Physiology, Ecology and Environment.

Logical and Quantitative Aptitude analysis

In this section of exam, students are tested on the different aspects, as they are presented in different scenarios and are expected to drive out with some logical solutions. It is an aptitude testing section.

You will be tested on the following

Statement & Assumptions, Statement & Conclusions, Statement & Arguments, Statement & actions, Assertion-Reason Syllogism, Number test, Direction and distance test, Coding and Decoding, Blood Relationships, Ranking, Analogy.

English Syllabus:

A student is tested for English on the basis of Vocabulary, Grammar and Comprehension.

Vocabulary is tested by asking questions related to Analogies, Synonyms, Antonyms, Word definition and Homonyms.

English Proficiency is tested by asking questions related to Noun, Articles, Pronouns, Conjunctions, One-word substitution, subject-verb agreement, Sentence improvement, Sentence rearrangements and fill in the blanks.

English Usage is tested by asking correct spellings, Inappropriate usage of words and spotting the error.

Last but not least you will also get questions related to English Comprehension.
