Step 1: Install Tray 2

  • Connect tray 2 to the base of your machine.

  • Turn the printer off and remove all the cables from your machine.

  • Uncover the tray and place it on the flat surface near your machine.

  • Once done, life your machine and carefully place it on the top of the Tray 2.

  • You should make sure that the printer is even with the left and rear edge of the tray.

  • Connect all removed cable to your machine and turn on the printer.

Step 2: Tray 2 as a Default Tray

HP printers, by default pick papers from Tray 1. If tray 1 is running out of paper then the printer pulls paper from tray 2.
