Island Mosque

Placed on a small isle just off the Northern Jeddah Corniche, the Island Mosque presents the spectacular panoramic views and remote beauty. The mosque is built near the water but not onto the water, so that’s why it is not considered one of the floating mosques. Fatima Az-Zahra Mosque

Fatima Az-Zahra is one of the floating mosques. Yet, floating doesn’t mean that mosques are floating onto the water but they are constructed onto the water. When tides come to rise, so the whole construction seems to float on the Red Sea. Thus, Fatima Az-Zahra Mosque is considered one of floating mosques as it seems floating on the water. Abdul Rauf Khalid Mosque Abdul Rauf Khalil Mosque is part of a sanctuary of several Islamic buildings which are considered the Saudi Arabian Heritage, the House of Islamic Heritage, the House of the International Heritage, and the Public Heritage Exhibition as well. King Saud Mosque King Saud Mosque is the most beautiful mosque in Jeddah city. The mosque is considered the largest one as well. Named after the second Saudi king, King Saud Mosque completed in 1987, by the Egyptian architect Abdel-Wahid El-Wakil who was responsible for the project of 15 mosques in both Jeddah and Medina. The mosque is admired for its exotic designs which won the Agha Khan Award for Architecture in 1989.
