''FREELANCING'', It sounds great that you'll become independent and you'll be your own boss, etc. etc. But in reality, freelancing means a commitment to your work. At an initial level, when you land into your first project. You need to handle everything from your own. It becomes bustling, there is a lot of hard work associated with the same.

As a freelancer, one needs to complete a given project in a time duration which becomes hectic as you need to complete all the tasks alone. Moreover, when you become good at freelancing and you handle multiple projects at a time that becomes altogether a different thing as it requires more smart work.

Okay, so I am also a freelancer and I manage the projects for a different client, who don't have time. So, as a freelancer, I am going to tell you some secrets for landing your first freelancing projects.

GET RID OF DISTRACTIONS: This is very important, you know today there are thousands of means to distract yourself. Today people find it difficult to concentrate at a particular task. MAKE YOUR PROFILE EXCEPTIONAL: Like you, obviously, there are other people in this freelance race as well. So, how are your skills better than them? Take time to polish your profile. Mention your core skills and how you can help your clients in difficult situations, what are your strengths and more. So, give your profile some time and mention the best version of you. Make it real and authentic as well.

TEST YOUR EXPERTISE: As usual, you must test your skills and level of knowledge. There are many skill tests online you can take to test your knowledge.

MAKE SURE YOUR PORTFOLIO IS NOT UNFILLED: You must have enough work to show in your portfolio. You don't have enough works? Start blogging, maintain social profiles. In simple words, you must have work to show the clients. And, if you have lots of work, then what you can do is to pick your 5-6 best work and show that in your portfolio.

LOOK, PROFESSIONAL: You know this matters. You must always use a profile picture that makes you look decent and professional. You cannot use unprofessional pictures in your profile. Or with friends or family members. Make sure you use an individual profile picture that looks professional. And, also don't use pictures that are a blur.

KNOW THE JOB DESCRIPTION: Before applying makes sure that you know what the job demands. I have seen many people they just apply and don't consider reading and understanding the job description. So, before applying it is mandatory to know all the terms and conditions or what the description really want and to apply only when your profile is best suitable for the profile.

Last but not least,

NEVER GIVE UP: There are many people around who feel dishearted too soon. And, gives up without giving their 100%. So, never give up. Give your best and if you work in the right direction soon you'll succeed.
