The smallest state in India and one of the country's major tourist attractions, Goa is visited by large numbers of domestic and international tourists annually. Some of the major highlights of this tiny Indian state are its sandy beaches, historic places of worship, and an exciting nightlife. It has also been designated as a biodiversity hotspot owing to its location in the mountain range of Western Ghats. The state is also an excellent mix of Indian and Portuguese cultures, as it was once under the Portuguese colonial rule.

You can book your flights to Goa well in advance and utilise your savings for indulging in some thrilling activities during your time spent in this Indian destination. Among them is river rafting, which can be enjoyed if you visit this state between June and October. This is the time when Mhadei River is in its full glory, and you'll have a great time rafting through its waters and savouring the views of Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary's lush green surroundings. These tours are ideal for those looking forward to enjoying some adventures while touring Goa.

Bungee jumping is yet another activity worth trying during your time spent in Goa. This thrilling activity is conducted by jumpmasters who have received extensive training under the experts from New Zealand. The Mayem Lake in North Goa is a permanent site in the state for bungee jumping. It is a 35-minute drive away from the immensely popular Baga Beach. The bungee is operational throughout the year except monsoon season from mid-June to mid-August. You'll surely get the right doses of thrills as you jump off from a height of about 55 metres. The company that conducts this activity follows the guidelines of the Australian and New Zealand Standards Authority for commercial bungee jumping operations.

Scuba diving would be a wonderful way to experience the rich marine life that thrives in the waters of the Arabian Sea touching the coasts of Goa. Numerous species of fish can be witnessed during this 8-hour excursion, which involves a boat ride. On the way to Grande Island, you can witness the dolphins and get to delve into the depths of the sea at several dive sites, such as Coral Garden, Suzy's Wreck, and Bounty Bay. The scuba diving and snorkelling expeditions are conducted by SSI and PADI certified instructors, which ensures complete safety. They also have the right training, equipment, and infrastructure to make your scuba diving experience memorable.

If you're visiting Goa during the monsoons, you can go monsoon trekking at the small cascade near Kumthad village. It is located at a distance of about 10 kilometres off Valpoi in Sattari. Upon arriving at a place called Sanvorde, the trekkers have to go walking for about 4.5 kilometres through semi-forest areas and rubber plantations until they reach Hukyachi Khadi. This location gives you the opportunity to unwind and explore the forests or simply savour the views of the cascade. Packed meals are also provided during this tour. However, these expeditions are only recommended for those who are physically fit.
