Subbaiah Institute of Medical Sciences was established in the year 2012 under the aegis of Tadikela Subbaiah Trust (R), in the Shimoga city of Karnataka. The honourable founder of the institution is Sri. T. Subbaramaiah, an eminent agriculturist, visionary and educationalist of the time. Tadikela Subbaiah Trust (R) was founded in the year 2003 and, runs many institutions along with Subbaiah Medical.
