Bandai Namco ensured to drop some exciting information regarding Tekken 7 at the recently held Evo 2019. A special appearance was made by Michael Murray and Mr. Harada after the Evo 2019 grand finals. After both of them poked some fun directed towards Yoshinori Ono and Capcom, they made sure to treat us with the latest gameplay trailer for Tekken 7.

The latest piece of information brought fantastic news along with it that Tekken 7 is going to continue with the third season of the DLC. A character from Tekken 6, Zafina, returns with a new set of unique moves. After she shows up in the trailer, she is shown to tap into the power of previous season’s boss Azazel by gaining his claw.

A brand new master of martial arts Leroy Smith was the next character we got a sneak peek of. Leroy was shown to lose his family 50 years ago after he got into trouble with a gang in New York. He then takes a vow to get revenge on the people who did him wrong by honing his martial arts abilities. Both of the latest characters shown will be appearing when the most recent Season Pass arrives on September 2019.

The new DLC slate will also be adding another new character with an unknown feature in the Winter 2019, even a new character with a new stage in Spring 2020. The latest update will also bring in loads of new moves along with new statistics display, an upgraded UI, enhanced practice sessions, and a new Replay Mode. Also, a tips function is also getting added in Tekken 7.

However, the new characters are not the only reason that Tekken is being talked about currently. During Evo 2019 a small clip was played of Snake, and it caught everyone’s attention. Snake was caught saying that The Tekken just played was badass. The fans depicted this sudden random appearance as a sign of a crossover event, but as it would seem it was not meant to be taken seriously.

Snake has previously appeared in fighting games like Super Smash Bros and Brawl and Ultimate. So it was not farfetched to see him in appearing in Tekken. But the clip was only played as a joke for only the people presented in Evo 2019. However, the clip got leaked and instantly went viral. Evo then came in for a little damage control, apologizing through their official Twitter account saying it was just meant to be a harmless joke. They said they were sorry for not consulting Bandai and that they had no idea about the clip.

David Hayter, who voices Snake, released a tweet expressing his displeasure regarding the whole situation. He said that Evo did not just forget to consult Konami or Bandai; they also forgot to ask him about the clip.

Tekken 7 is already a hot topic in the community and seeing the uproar regarding Snake appearing in Tekken, Bandai might just do a little crossover, which could prove to be in their favor.
