The sixth beta update of Android Q was released on August 7th, and it is the last beta update for the OS. This means that the official release of the latest Android OS is not that far away. There is a much better understanding of the company’s upcoming flagships Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 4. Google posted an unexpected image for Pixel 4 in June, and then went on to post a video about the device’s face unlock on YouTube.

Google’s confidence in Pixel 4 is evident, and Pixel 4’s success is integral for Google. Seeing how Pixel 3 performed in the market despite its fantastic camera and critic acclaim was surprising. Being a Verizon only could be the reason behind it plus the decrease in phone sales could be blamed too.

Pixel 3 was expensive, so Google even went on to release Pixel 3A along with Pixel 3A XL. There were several issues reported by users, and the company settled a lawsuit deciding to pay $500 to every buyer of the first-pixel phone.

Now here are some of the new Google Pixel 4’s features.

  • Confirmed: Existence along with Square Camera Setup

Pixel 4 is going to be a phone from Google as they released a tweet with Pixel 4’s images. The image confirmed Pixel 4 along with the rear square camera setup.

The pic contains two phones, one of them shows the rear with square setup for cameras.

  • Confirmed: Face Unlock with Motion Sensors

These features were rumored back in June and confirmed on August 12th by Google. There was a video posted by Google which stated that there would be a Soli radar chipset. This will allow a Face ID unlock system much like Apple’s Face ID. The feature will be secure to make digital transactions. The feature lets you perform several actions like snoozing alarms, skipping songs, and silencing incoming calls just by moving your hand in front of the phone.

  • Possibly: One selfie camera

There was a supposed spotting of Pixel 4 back in June with two front cameras like Pixel 3. However, Google’s latest tweet had one front-facing camera in it. There is uncertainty as to why Google would lose the second front-facing camera, as the camera was performing nicely in Pixel 3.

  • Possibly: Releasing in October

This is not based on rumors or news; it is based on the recurring release pattern of Google. They have been releasing their flagships in October since 2016, so it is highly likely that Pixel 4 will be released in October.

  • Possibly: Android Q

Like previous Pixel flagships, the Pixel 4 will be one of the first flagships to run on Android latest OS. There are no official names for upcoming Android OS, but seeing as they release the forthcoming OS alphabetically, is temporarily called Q. It is said to come with new permissions features, system-wide dark mode, face recognition, and upgraded security.

Other possibilities contain Dual SIM capabilities and 90 Hz display.
