How To Remove Those Nagging Ads From Windows 10

You might have noticed that Windows 10 has plenty of in-built advertising. You would have seen advertisements in the operating system.Thankfully, there are ways to get rid of them. Just read on, and learn how.
Method 1: Turning off lock screen advertisements
- Firstly, go to Settings.
- Then, press on Personalization.
- After that, Lock Screen and put the background to ‘Picture’ or ‘Slideshow’ rather than of Windows Spotlight.
- You might even wish to turn off the ‘Get fun facts, tips, and more from Windows and Cortana on the lock screen’ option here, too.
Method 2: Prevent suggested apps from getting displayed in the Start Menu
- Firstly, open Settings.
- Then, press on Personalization.
- After that, press on Start and put the ‘Occasionally show suggestions in Start’ option to ‘off’
Method 3: Turn off the Taskbar Pop-ups
- Firstly, go to Settings.
- Then, press on System.
- After that, click on Notifications and Actions and turn off the given option- Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows’.
Method 4: Stop notification ads from getting displayed
- Firstly, go to Settings.
- Then, press on System.
- After that, go to the Notifications and Actions ‘ Show me the windows welcome experience after updates and occasionally when I sign in to highlight what’s new and suggested’ to ‘Off.’
Method 5: Turn off Cortana from popping up on the taskbar
- Firstly, press the Cortana search box.
- Then, press on the Symbol of the Settings.
- After that, move downward and turn off the ‘Taskbar Tidbits’ option below ‘Let Cortana pipe up from time to time with thoughts, greetings, and notifications in the Search bar.’
- Lastly, note that after completing these steps, Cortana shall stop popping on the taskbar.
Method 6: Deleting ads from the file explorer
- Firstly, go to the File Explorer.
- Then, press on View.
- After that, click on Options.
- Next, go to the View tab.
- Then, have a look at the number of options present in the Advanced settings option.
- After that, go to the end of the list.
- Next, un-tick the option titled Show sync provider notifications.
- Then, press on ‘Ok’.
Method 7: Stop ‘Get Office’ notifications
- Firstly, go to Settings.
- Then, press on System.
- After that, click on Notifications and Actions.
- Then, move downwards and put notifications for the ‘Get office’ application to turn off.
Alternative Method
- Firstly, visit the Start menu and search for receiving Office application.
- Then, do a right-click on the Get Office application.
- After that, choose ‘Uninstall.’
