The sports industry is thriving, and there are virtually hundreds of degrees you can get that can lead to a fulfilling career. You don't have to be an athlete to enjoy these career choices, and we've picked out the best ones below.

1. Athletic Trainer Degree

An athletic trainer works alongside athletes to help prevent and treat muscle and bone injuries and issues. You'll be the one who makes instant assessments of any injuries that may happen while the athletes are playing. You may also work alongside athletes to design specialized programs to help prevent any future injuries. To have this career, you'll need at least a Bachelor's degree, but many prefer to get their Master's.

2. Golf Course Management Degree

A golf course manager is responsible for all of the operational aspects of the golf club facility and golf course. You deal with employees, club members, and staff on a daily basis, so you have to have excellent interpersonal skills. You build membership for the course, train new employees, and oversee daily operations. A golf course management degree usually requires at least a Bachelor's degree in golf course management or hospitality.

3. Sports Photography Degree

If you have an eye for detail and love taking pictures, a sports photographer could be an excellent career. You specialize in taking photographs for sporting events, and it's common to be right next to the action. You're responsible for taking all of the shots your company will use in both digital and print media. To get there, you want at least a Bachelor's degree in photography and a portfolio that demonstrates your work.

4. Physical Therapy Degree

Sports physical therapists help athletes recover from injuries and build up their strength once again. Part of your job involves diagnosing your patient, but you also design a specialized treatment plan that teaches their bodies how to move properly again. You'll get to get your board certification first before you go on to get your Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

5. Sporting Event Coordinator Degree

Sporting event coordinators work at golf courses and in event spaces. They help to organize any event that may come through the door. This could be annual parties for the members, weddings, holiday parties, special events, milestone occasions, and more. If the venue hosts an event, you'll plan it and coordinate everything from food to entertainment, and deal with any vendors. You'll need a Bachelor's degree in hospitality management with work experience to start.

6. Sports Psychology Degree

As a sports psychologist, you'll work on making your clients' mental well-being as good as it possibly can be. They work with both athletes and non-athletes to create a balance between their minds and bodies so they can perform to their peak levels. To get this job, you'll need to enroll in a counseling or clinical doctorate program, get a Bachelor's degree, and move on to either a Master's or Doctorate. There are also certifications to consider.
