It is probably due to the many options and components that you can choose during assembly. If you buy Game PC then you want everything to work properly and optimally. In this item, we try to explain to you as well as possible how you can put together the perfect configuration yourself. What should you pay attention to and take into account? And what are useful tips that you can use when putting together your unique Game PC?

General

The components that have the most impact on performance are the processor, graphics card and main memory. These three components must be well balanced with each other, otherwise you will suffer from a "bottleneck". A "bottleneck" means that one or more components in your computer are a lot slower than the rest and that the faster components are therefore not fully utilized.

For example, if you choose an Intel Core i3 processor with an NVIDIA GTX 2080 Ti graphic card, the expensive "high end" graphic card will only be able to use a fraction of its capacity. For example, if you have a good processor and graphics card but insufficient memory, then certain games will also not be playable.

This problem is to a lesser extent the case if you compile a computer that is not intended for gaming but for rendering photos and videos. This generally requires a lot of power from the processor and the main memory, but not so much from the graphics card. In this case you can safely take a slightly less heavy graphics card.

The housing

The assembly always starts with the housing, we offer a wide variety in this. Do you want one with lighting or do you prefer a stylish or sleek copy. Often the cabinets with lighting also have a window in the side cover, such as the Sharkoon VG-5 housing so that the parts and LED lighting are clearly visible. The housing is usually very personal, it just depends on what you like. If you want high-end hardware in your computer, then it is advisable to take a slightly larger housing so that all the heat in the cabinet can be removed properly.

Processor & Graphics card

As stated earlier, the processor and the graphics card are the most important parts of a Game PC. To be able to make a good choice in this regard, it is important to determine in advance for what purposes you want to use your computer.

For example, if you want to play games such as Minecraft or CS GO on medium / high, you can respectively choose an AMD AM4 A6-9500 or an AMD AM4 A8-9600 Quad Core processor which have an integrated graphics chip.

If you want higher settings or also want to play heavier games such as GTA V, or ARK then you can still upgrade to an AMD Athlon 200GE 3.2 GHz or AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3.7 GHz quad core processor, of course you will have the graphic settings have to screw down a bit to run these games smoothly.

If you don't want to make concessions and want to play all triple A games (GTA V, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Battlefield V) at the highest settings, then it's best to choose the Intel Game PC PRO. This Game PC has an Intel Core i5 and an NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB.

Are you satisfied with lower settings or do you have a slightly lower budget then you can choose the AMD Game PC in combination with an AMD Athlon 950 or Ryzen 5 processor, in combination with an NVIDIA GTX 1050 2GB / 1050Ti or an AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB / 580 8GB, almost all games can be played well on medium / high settings.

Random-access memoryThe working memory ensures that all programs and games are loaded quickly. At the moment, 8GB is the recommended amount for almost every computer. However, we do see that for certain games 16GB of memory is increasingly recommended for achieving the maximum performance.

If you also use many graphic applications in addition to gaming for, for example, drawings and photo and / or video editing, we recommend using a minimum of 16 GB of memory. With a Game PC from GamePC.nl you are sure of a lot of gaming fun. All our Game Computers are equipped with high-quality hardware and software and have been tested by experienced gamers. All Game PCs can be expanded to your own liking and provided with, for example, a more powerful processor, graphics card, more disk space, working memory and many more additional options. Go to GamePC.nl to put together your own Game PC.

Motherboard

The motherboard generally does not have much influence on the performance but is still very important for a stable Game PC. On the motherboard all parts come together, so it is important that it has enough connections for the parts that you want to use. In most cases, a more expensive motherboard will have more connections and options to further upgrade the computer in the future.

Storage

During composing you can choose a hard disk or an SSD, this can be quite confusing. A ssd is much faster with Windows startup and game loading. You will even have better performance while gaming with some games. That a ssd is faster is because flash memory is used, this is many times faster than the method used with a hard disk. A good option that we often recommend is a small ssd for running Windows and some games and alongside this a hard disk for other storage such as films, photos and other games.

Nutrition

The power supply provides the power supply to the components. If the power supply is too light for the hardware, then all kinds of problems can arise.

In most cases, a 600 Watt power supply is capable of supplying almost all modern Game PCs with enough power.

Internet

There is a standard 1Gbit connection with every PC where you can connect an internet cable. Wired internet is the most fast and stable form of internet. If it is not possible to lay a cable from your router to your PC, then a wifi adapter is a good option. A usb device that ensures that you can receive wireless internet on your computer. Another option is the powerline adapter, which is generally more stable than a wifi adapter. In this case you place one powerline adapter in an outlet close to your router and the other at your computer. With the included internet cable you connect one adapter with the router and the other with your computer. Your computer is now connected to the internet.

SoftwareYou can't do much with a computer without software. You first have to install Windows if you want to be able to play with the computer. If you still have a Windows package at home, you can install it. If this is not the case, you can order a Windows package from the computer. When you order the Windows package, we ensure that Windows and the drivers are installed. As soon as you receive the computer at home, you can get started right away.

There is a standard virus scanner in Windows but this does not stop all viruses. You can choose to purchase an additional security package so that you can be sure that you can use the computer safely.

Are you planning to do a lot of school work on the computer? Then you can choose to take an Office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
