Hybrid Organic Acid Technology (HOAT) Coolant

Optimal use of machines is directly proportional to its engine performance.

What an engine does is it converts the supplied energy into its mechanical form, driving the machine to work. Engines require one-third of total heat that is generated during conversion and the rest of the heat is needed to be evacuated from the combustion chamber which would otherwise lead to engine failure.

Earlier, water was preferred as an ideal coolant for quite a period of time but the problem started to arise when the temperature would become extremely high or low, to be precise temperature more than 100°C and below 0°C. To get rid of this problem, coolants were formulated. Coolants are categorized chemicals that increases the boiling point of the fluid and decreases the freezing point of the fluid to make it suitable for use in extreme heat and freezing conditions.

Coolants are a proportionate mixture of antifreeze and solvent, mainly glycol and water. Ideally utilized as a preventive in a device from overheating due to its high boiling point and low freezing point property, these chemicals are indulged with anti-corrosive, anti-scaling, and anti-microbial properties, protecting the same from the adverse effects extremely low as well as high temperatures. The coolants are processed with latent heat addition, improvising the cooling efficiency of the same. Coolant Additives are mostly utilized in automobiles, machines, HVAC and various other industrial processing.

Considering the variety of utilization and applications, two new types of coolants are used in most of the HVAC engines are:

  • OAT Coolant: Based on Organic Acid Technology, OAT coolants are free of silicates and manifests provides excellent protection to aluminum at high temperature.
  • HOAT Coolant: Hybrid Organic Acid Technology is based silicates free, nitrates free and borates free formulation, incorporated with OAT technology which are suitable to be used in HVAC as well as less combusting application. The HOAT package is uniquely designed to protect aluminum, brass, copper, solder, steel, cast iron, aluminum alloys and other components such as rubber hoses, gaskets, rubber seals, and elastomers commonly found in the engine radiator.
