Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates and if you are planning a trip to the country you will not be short of great sights to see, and attractions to visit. Let us first look at a few of the interesting attractions you can see which may well encourage you to purchase an Abu Dhabi sightseeing tour ticket!

Sheikh Zayed Mosque

Now, here is a breathtaking sight-the Sheikh Zayed Mosque. This is the largest mosque in the country. It has minarets over 100 meters tall as well as 82 domes of white marble. Another element that makes it a sight to behold is the fact it contains one of the largest hand-knotted carpets in the world.

Capital Gate

The Capital Gate is a skyscraper situated in Abu Dhabi and the building is also known as the Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi. You can probably guess how it got that nickname as the structure also 'leans' like the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. It is inclined at a whole 18 degrees and is actually the most lopsided building in the world!

Saadiyat Island

Here we have another excellent place to visit and this island is a cultural project for nature and Emirati heritage. The island is still under development with more additions on their way up until its scheduled completion of 2020, but you can already enjoy your visit soaking up a beautiful island beach and sea. It is worth noting that Saadiyat Island is expected to become Abu Dhabi's cultural centre with its ambitious plans, which include having a total of eight museums, as well as facilities for residents including a school and other educational offerings such as as an arts centre.

Now let us take a look at some attractions to visit for some activity and entertainment.

Ferrari World

If you are in any way an F1 fan you may well want to consider purchasing some Ferrari World Abu Dhabi tickets. And even if you are not, you may still want to as this is a great theme park for people of all ages, full of fun. One of the headline rides is the Formula Rossa which is the worlds fastest rollercoaster! There are also karting academy tutorials, with both options for adults as well as a junior version. Plus, the park has Benno's Great Race which is a different type of experience as it revolves around an oversized area of interactive challenges enhanced by special effects.

Abu Dhabi Mall

OK, so if you like shopping this may just be your dream destination! This mall contains 200 stores so you should find something to buy! As well as the shopping there are some lovely water views thanks to some great waterfront areas. In terms of the shops on offer, there are a good mix of top brands and more reasonable offerings, and more than enough eating establishments in the food court, which should help to fuel you enough to get through 200 stores! Furthermore, there are areas especially tailored for the kids to help keep them entertained and you can also further break up the shopping with a cinema.

Warner Bros World

Located on Yas Island, this them park is a must-visit for fans of WB's famous creations. The park is separated into six areas, all looking at different characters and landscapes from a huge world of cartoons, comic books and movies. The park is a little unusual in that technically it's not a park, in fact, the whole attraction takes part indoors, but it is air-conditioned. The rides cater for the younger generation with sections such as Bedrock and Cartoon Junction, then the older lot are catered for with Gotham City and Metropolis themed offerings.
