Apart from the above four sacred places, another circuit of pilgrimage site happens to be in the state of Uttarakhand, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath. These are referred to as "Chota Char Dham" as they differ from the bigger circuit of Char Dham sites. Generally, these holy places remain closed during winter due to heavy snowfall and perilous trails of the journey. And with the advent of the Summer, such places are open for visits.
