Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour Cost

The Everest base camp helicopter tour is a luxury flight tour that you can have a great experience of the Himalayas, landscape and much more from a closer distance. It is a bit expensive tour than the regular mountain flight tour with a plane. The mountain flight tour with a plane just flies over the mountain and does not go very close and impossible to land up in the mountain. The Everest base camp helicopter flight tour is a sharing flight with other people. One shuttle can fly with 5 people and flies twice to the base camp with 3 people and 2 people after the Everest view hotel. It cost 950 USD per person and 4000 USD if you charter as a private flight. This price includes ground transport from your hotel to the airport and drops off to the hotel, helicopter flight and airport tax.

Best Time For The Flight

The helicopter flight to the Everest base camp operates usually in the morning. The clouds will be in the valley with mist and will be clear weather in the higher area. After the second week of September to December and March to May are the best timings for the Everest base camp helicopter flight tour. These months offer clear visibility so you can enjoy the view.

Winter is also not bad but clouds cover the Himalaya earlier and summer has lots of cloudy days and rain. Summer is not a good time for the flight.

Take passport with you because you need it for check-in at the airport. Take a camera for the photo and wear warm clothes. You might feel cold when the helicopter lands in the Everest view hotel and Kala Patthar.
