In order to save planet earth from further deterioration, recycling plastic is important. Here are some ways to help you reuse and recycle plastic cartons and do your bit towards the earth.

With the absence of a better alternative for almost every product plastic takes form as or helps carry, you can't afford to do away with it completely. If you're one of those people, you can learn to reuse and recycle and still be smart citizens without having to feel guilty about it. First things first, you must realize that even if you aren't able to entirely remove plastic, you already own or if you have yet seemed to have a lot of old plastic cartons and containers, you can still reuse and recycle them accordingly.

Even huge brands are now using recycled materials for their products, be it fashion, footwear or packaging. But what can you do individually, to make the world and your immediate surroundings healthier?

Plant in plastic- You couldn't have missed the admirable sight of plants being housed in these plastic containers giving them a new home. It's high time to bring it into your home. You can paint the containers if you need. Get some string, yarn and hot-glue them in place. Let your garden or backyard be wholesome again.

  • Upcycle cartons to the watering can- Now that you have your plants in place, you can make your huge plastic carton into a watering can water your plants. Again, you may decorate this as you wish with paint, steins, beads, etc.

  • Garden scooper- With the recycled, we're all about new life to the plastic and your plants. You could cut your milk carton vertically to create a DIY scooper which you can use for ice or other purposes as well.

  • Trash it in- What would otherwise be harmful trash can help you if you use it as a trashcan. Use large cartons as trash cans in different areas of your house based on necessity and convenience. You'd hardly have to give this one a makeover. If you wish to? A dash of paint must suffice.

  • Toy Car- Did you even imagine your waste taking the shape of a toy car? Just use it horizontally, the cap functions as a horn and add some wheels. Craft it up, and it'd be the best gift for the kids.

  • Plastic Carton Manufacturers - You could check at these companies if the plastic carton suppliers have a recycle or reuse policy and it would help ensure that the used boxes are put into good use once recycled and go back into the system instead of creating newer ones.

  • Recycle- It’s our social responsibility to recycle if we can't or don't reuse them. Research about recycling bins at work, in the locality or vicinity and drop them off in those places. In some cases, you're also paid for the plastic given, or some beverage containers come with a deposit refund.

Although you can discard the pump for lotion and toiletry items before giving for recycling, it's always wise to follow specific instructions provided by the local ordinances as they're based on their method and machinery used.

Regardless of the above-mentioned methods used to reuse or recycling, participating in either and/or both already mean that you're taking responsibility towards the future of the earth and its inhabitants. An active role is required on the part of plastic carton manufacturers to popularize the various ways of recycling and reusing plastic cartons.
