The barbecue has become one of the most popular summer and weekend activities all around the globe. In the suburbs you can't turn around without noticing some neighbour trying to lighten up the grill and preparing the sausages and the pork chops. The barbecue parties are a very nice way to spend some time with friends and family in the open air. I mean, who wouldn't love the idea to spend time outdoors, drink beer or wine, and eat a delicious stake or a hot dog? Yeah, this definitely sounds like something everybody would like to do. But before we start gathering the group, we need to make sure that we own the proper barbecue grill for the occasion. To help the newbies who want to buy their first barbecues, I've gathered these nice tips on how to choose the perfect barbecue. Let's hope you find the right one for you thanks to me.

The size. So, you want to buy your first barbecue? This is amazing! But before you storm into the store demanding a barbecue grill from them, you should at least consider what size you will need. Yes, the BBQs come in different sizes, shapes and colours, depending on what will you use it for. You can buy a small barbecue, which will be perfect for you and your family members. Or, if you want to think big, you should buy a bigger and more professional barbecue grill, because this way you will be able to also invite your friends and organise a bigger party. Or, if you want to open a restaurant where the main meal is grilled meat and vegetables, you should buy one of those industrial grills. As you can see, here the size is practically everything – from the size of the barbecue depends how many people you can invite, how much food you can grill on it, the price of all of this, and many other factors.

Where will you use it? This is also a very important question you should ask yourself. The type of barbecue you're going to buy depends on the purpose it's going to have in your family. Are you planning to use it only in the backyard? Or maybe you'll be mainly travelling with it to places, and you need it to be compact? Will you put it in your backyard or maybe somewhere inside? There are many questions like these you can ask yourself, which will help you make the right decision. You just need to ask them before it gets too late.

Portable or not? Right now I realise that I really miss the old days where there was only 1 variety of something and you had to buy it or nothing. Today we just have so many options, that it's really easy to get lost and make the wrong choice. For instance, today you can choose if you want your new barbecue to be portable or not. But it's actually impossible to predict if you're ever going to take it out of the property premises, so you should be very careful. Every model of barbecue grills has their own advantages and disadvantages, and you should make sure the first ones are more than the second ones. You should also consider the BBQ cleaning when you're still in the store – some surfaces are quite easy to be cleaned, but some are practically impossible without the usage of harsh chemicals, so be very careful.

How often will you use it? The way you use your BBQ is also a very important factor you should consider when buying it. Some people organise barbecues no more than once a year. If you're one of those, you should consider spending less money on the barbecue itself, because there is no sense in spending so much money on something, if you're not going to use it.
