SSC JE EXAM PATTERN

Staff choice Commission had released SSC JE Notification 2019 and form on August 13, 2019. The Last Judgment to register on-line for SSC JE 2019 test was September 12, 2019.

Applicants who are willing to appear for the exam should check the exam pattern of the paper of SSC JE given below.

  • SSC JE Paper 1 consists of 200 questions to be attempted during a length of 2 hours.
  • The paper is split into 3 sections – General Intelligence, General Awareness and General Engineering (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical).
  • Candidates must need to seem in either one of the streams of General Engineering in each Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer applicable in Paper 1 only.
  • Candidates that manages to clear paper 1 are eligible to seem on paper 2.
  • Paper 2 could be a descriptive paper of 300 marks and 2 hours in length. Questions are based upon the candidates’ specializations in Engineering.

SSC JE examination Pattern 2019

SSC JE 2019 is conducted in 2 papers that are paper 1 and paper 2.

Paper 1 could be an objective paper whereas Paper 2 is a descriptive paper. below is the careful examination pattern for paper 1 and paper 2:

  • SSC JE Paper 1 Pattern:
  • Paper one could be a computer-based online test having multiple selection questions(MCQ’s).
  • It consists of three sections particularly General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and General Engineering (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical).
  • Sections 1 and 2 are the same for every candidate. In section 3, candidates need to opt for their various subjects from Civil/ Mechanical/ technology.
  • Section 1 and 2 comprises 50 questions each. These sections take a look at the candidate’s ability and information on general reasoning and awareness. Section three consists of 100 questions and examines the candidate’s knowledge for the topic chosen from Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.
  • In Paper-I and Paper-II for General Engineering, the candidate is going to be needed to attempt only the part as per choices are given within the form filled by the candidate.
  • In other words, the candidates showing for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil or quantity Surveying & Contracts) are needed to attempt Part-A (Civil & Structural Engineering)
  • Candidates showing for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) are needed to attempt Part-B (Electrical Engineering)
  • Candidates showing for the post of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) are needed to attempt Part-C (Mechanical Engineering)
  • There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer.

Diploma Equivalent courses done by EX Servicemen from militia(army force) also are valid to use for SSC-JE.

6. Will candidates with lateral entries are eligible?

Candidates with lateral entries when 10+2 are eligible as they need the same diploma degree as others.

If you've got a 4year degree then you will prepare different exams in parallel. however the pattern of SSC-JE paper is extremely completely different than GATE or IES.
