Wildlife Sanctuaries of Rajasthan: Rajasthan Tourism

Rajasthan is a Kingsley state of India as there are lots of historical monuments and forts situated in different parts of the state having different historical backgrounds. Some of these forts are more than 500 years old for example, The Mehrangarh Fort located in Jodhpur, made by the Rao Jodha in 1429 AD.

Apart from these Historical Architectures, Rajasthan Tourism offers you the opportunity to explore the Habitat of Wildlife Animals residing in some of these Wildlife Sanctuaries listed below:

  1. Sariska National Park: This Sariska National Park is formerly named Sariska Tiger Reserve which is located in the Alwar District of Rajasthan. Apart from tigers, people visit this place to explore the Ruins of "Garh- Rajor Temple" which was built in the 11th Century, "Kankwari Fort" of 17th Century located on the high hills of Aravali Mountains, Lakes like Siliserh and Jai Samand lake which are the natural Habitat of Crocodiles and water snakes. So it is all and all a blend of adventure and mysterious activity.
    1. Ways to explore the Sariska Tiger Reserve: There are 2 major ways to traverse through this national park:
      1. Jeep Safari: It can accommodate around 6 people at a time. It particularly suggested for wildlife photographers and takes more than 3 hours to complete its journey.
      2. Canter Jeep: It is quite similar to Jeep Safari, the only difference is that it can accommodate more than 20 persons at a time.
    2. Safari Timings:
      1. Morning Timing: 6 am to 10 am
      2. Evening Timing: 2 pm to 6 pm
  2. Kumbhalgarh National Park: Another, Major tourist attraction of Udaipur, Rajasthan and famous for the Wolf which are rarely found anywhere else. This National park is located in the Desert Area of Rajasthan which is around 550 Kilometers in a landscape and also the natural habitat of more than 40 Such wolves. Apart from the Wolfs, this wildlife sanctuary is also the house of animals like nilgai, Jackal, jungle cat, leopards, antelope, hyena, sambhar, etc. The best time to visit this national park is from October to June as it is located in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan but if you can bear the heat and humidity of desert you can visit in the summer sessions as well.
  3. Ranthambore National park: Also called Ranthambore Tiger Reserve and spread over an area of 390 sq km. which includes its neighboring sanctuaries or national park for example - the Mansingh Sanctuary and the Kaila Devi Sanctuary. This park is quite popular for its exposure to exploring tiger's in there natural habitat. This national park is also listed as the heritage site for its historical architectures which are located inside the Ranthambore National park. Visiting this Ranthambore National Park is a treat for every wildlife lover as The time they spend on watching tigers, jackals, Hyenas, other species of birds animals is always priceless and fair enough to be explored at least once in a life.
