Repair of the Professional Foundation in Los Angeles
Posted: Feb 15, 2020
The base of your building is undoubtedly the most important part. Without a solid foundation, your home or business may be subject to catastrophic damage. While the causes of damage or risks of the foundation differ widely, our Professional Foundation Repair specialists are equipped to respond to each of your foundation repair concerns in a timely, professional and efficient manner.
If you see cracking inside your base or suspect a foundation problem, time is of the essence. The base of a building is what holds the rest together. When problems begin to arise, it can have a domino effect on other structural assets of the building. Call Professional Foundation Repair immediately to have a technician assess your building's needs and begin repairing before more damage is done.
Losa Foundation
A slab base is when the building rests on a large concrete slab. There is no tracking space under this concrete. There are several courses of action if there is a need to repair the slab base:
- Shoes. Our team will create feet to the slab by digging trenches in the outer perimeter, and then pouring more concrete.
- Rebar Add more strength and prevent the slab from cracking.
- Gravel. We spread gravel across the slab to help reduce moisture.
- Concrete. Once one of the above is done, a new layer of concrete is poured, then leveled. This creates a new slab base.
Raised Foundation
- An elevated base differs from a slab base because there is a minimum of 16 inches of tracking space. Consequently, the ways to fix the foundations are inherently different.
- Spring and Post System. We evenly distribute the weight of the property by creating a concrete spring base, then placing the posts evenly between the new spring and the base.
- Foot. In efforts to prevent a house or building from settling, our team digs a ditch, installs an armor and pours concrete to form the base.
- Stem wall. We build a wall around the foundations of the house to prevent it from moving.
- Floor joists. The joists of the floor are smaller beams that give to the ground support. On a base, they are wooden beams that line the top of the base together with the beam beams.
- Sister Wall The Walls Sisters provide support when a complete replacement is not necessary. A second wall is built right next to the foundation, then we secure the two with armor.
- Cracks When a base lacks adequate support, cracks that vary in width from the hairline to complete separation can form on a base. We repair these cracks with epoxy and Simpson A35 metals.
Earthquake Reconditioning
Earthquake reconditioning is especially important as a preventive measure in the southern California region. Our team will ensure your home with metal accessories, which gives your base extra strength in the case of seismic activity.
Post covers and T straps. These covers and straps are used to secure the Pier and Post system. These metals are important; Without them, it is common for the ground to begin to sink.
URFP-10. This updated technology is used to secure sludge foundations. These are commonly used to replace older technology that has been worn out by other seismic activities.
Parallel wall reinforcement. Another measure of protection against the collapse of the house in case of an earthquake, this form of reinforcement uses plywood cladding with ventilation holes. This is our course of action if the building seems to "prick" or buckle towards the bottom of the property.
Hydraulic springs
When parts of the slab sink outside the property, we use a hydraulic thrust spring system. We start digging four feet to get under the bases, then using the hydraulic thrust spring system we install concrete cylinders until they reach the rock.
Real Estate Inspections
We are also proud to offer home inspections if you are looking for a new home. It can be difficult for the untrained eye to identify possible problems with the home base. Our experts will study the house for you and make a safe diagnosis of any problem you have - or lack thereof. That way, you can make a good purchase decision without worrying about the basis of your new home.
Structural and Civil Engineering
Finally, we offer structural engineering for residential additions and remodeling, apartment remodeling, foundation and bolt and clamp repair, and civil engineering for low impact development, leveling and drainage, and retaining walls.
In addition, we are proud to specialize in garages and their structural elements. We can also make diagnoses and repair the structure of the entrances, which can easily be damaged by tree roots that grow under them. We use most of the same practices that we use in houses and garage buildings.
Improve the health and capacity of each of the employees, through optimal working conditions.
