Swell provides amazing radio experience both in the car and elsewhere because it is focused on Radio Talk. Apple makes the deal worth $30 Million. Recently in May Apple bought Beat Electronics in $3.2 Billion and now Swell so we can assume that Apple is working on its music strategy and developing its business in the live streaming field by acquiring successful industry talent in order to adding arm to iTunes Radio.

What does Swell Provide?

As we know Swell is music streaming app that let you listen unlimited Audio News and Podcasts sourced by such big name like ESPN, BBC, CBC, TED and more likely by iTunes. Swell can allow us create and personalized Playlist, this is one of the best feature. Also you can have your own settings in order to choose your favorite topic or channel else it default to Swell Mix.

Swell is one of the better podcastapp in the market having around 400 reviews and 4.5 rating on the app store.

With the drastically rise of smartphone utilizations in the world, music steaming services are also growing and some of the successful apps like Pandora and Spotify, Apple iTunes has been struggling to grow. With acquisition of Swell we can assume that we will experience more advanced and collaborated services provide by iTunes Radio in future. With this deal Apple is taking high its music streaming services with iTunes Radio. In the streaming music field Apple Service iTunes Radio has never really challenged with Pandora in terms of the Audience size because users want to stream the music for free not has to digital download. In order to provide free music streaming Apple bought LaLa, one of the music engine in 2009, which offers free music streaming and personalized stations.

In order to complete inquisition Apple will reportedly invite Swell Team in order to adopt Swell Audio Recommendation Technology to work on its struggling podcast app.
