What I learned from my solo trip to Sikkim?

Often regarded as one of the most award-winning ways to travel, solo travelling is one of the best ways to explore Mother Nature. Renowned as an organic and a distinctly alluring sight of the north-eastern region of the Indian Peninsula, Sikkim is a big wonder in a small package.

I had an opportunity to explore Sikkim in the last year and believe me, it is one of the most picturesque states of the North-eastern frontier of the Indian peninsula. The prismatic beauty and the charismatic charm of this second smallest state of India will genuinely leave you spellbound. So, here is a bit of my experience for the Sikkim solo travelers –

Best Time –

You can plan your Sikkim visit either during the months between March to May or between October to mid of December. While between March to May, you get to witness the blooming natural beauty of Sikkim, the period between October to mid-December feasts your eyes with the picturesque view of the entire Himalayan ranges.

• First of all, be it either you first or 10th travel, make sure that you are vigilant enough on your go.
• Be thorough with your confidence level.
• As you will be traveling solo, make sure to inform at least your close circle that you are planning a solo trip to Sikkim. This will help people around you to reach your contacts in case of any emergency situation there.
• Spend a good amount of time researching the place to accommodate yourself on the go. If possible, rather than falling prey to luxuriousness and sophistication, consider the positive ratings and opt for the best one.
