Windows 10 product news: Windows 10 Pro remains a dead end than ever

Microsoft has made it clear that companies must use Windows 10 Enterprise, with the smallest Pro version left in the dust. Stephen Kleynhans, Gartner analyst, sees no reason to change.

Windows 10 oem product key remains a stalemate for most companies, as an analyst said in an interview.

"Absolutely stagnant," said Stephen Kleynhans, vice president of research at Gartner.

More than a year ago, Kleynhans and Michael Silver, another Gartner analyst, claimed that buying windows 10 professional oem key, the default version of business PCs, was a stalemate for most companies. Although Microsoft has long insisted on Windows 10 Enterprise and other SKUs with the same "Business" suffix, Pro's second-class citizenship became more evident when Microsoft proposed only temporary support improvements to the companies Android, although we may need to implement our own operating system "What really surprised me about this additional support is the fact that it does not apply to Pro," Kleynhans said in an interview in May 2018. "I think that has telegraphed that Pro is a dead end for businesses."

What was still valid then was true today, Kleynhans said. "If it is a very small company, your needs are not large and you don't have to manage your computers, Windows 10 Pro is ideal for small businesses such as small stores or medical offices."

"But if you need centralized IT or centralized management, it's hard to see how Pro works," said Kleynhans.

The biggest problem with windows 10 oem key free is support. Last year, when Kleynhans and Silver warned customers about the inappropriateness of Pro, Microsoft added six months to the support life cycle for the latest Windows 10 Enterprise updates, including versions 1609, 1703 and 1709.

A few months ago, the impact of the additional support was recognized immediately. Although the number of features provided by Windows 10 Pro was reduced to one per year, it was still risky and required flexibility for the company. Microsoft had little room for error to meet the deadlines for publication or a company that had performed due diligence in preparing the pilot mission.

Windows 10 Enterprise administrators had such flexibility with 30-month support that they could begin deployment anywhere in the first 12 months, but they could still run a version for 12 months. Particularly bold and / or agile IT staff could reduce its implementation to only one every 24 months if Microsoft is sure to meet deadlines.

Throughout this "stalemate," Microsoft is not said to have no motivation to improve Windows 10 Pro so that it can serve as a viable operating system for businesses.

The difference between the two item numbers is, of course, totally artificial. Microsoft has set the limits, as it should, and it would be silly in the face of a massive customer revolt, if you look like yourself, if you increase Pro or Enterprise.

Usually, "follow the money" is good advice. It's here.

Once the computer manufacturer pays Microsoft, the computer manufacturer, as in the case of Lenovo or HP, for the copy of Windows 10 Pro installed on a PC before it leaves the Factory, Microsoft It is no longer making direct sub from the operating system.

Of course, Microsoft can earn revenue from Microsoft Windows of other software or services for and with this Windows 10 Pro PC, as it has for decades. But Windows 10 Pro is a single sale, a single source of income.

It should be noted that Microsoft has managed to force many customers to pay twice for an operating system once, if this is included in the price of the PC, also with an Enterprise subscription.

Not only will Microsoft not dare to anger this apple basket, but it certainly wants all companies to finally introduce Enterprise. It may even be that Pro secretly wants to disappear as a commercial option. All this and more means that it is unlikely that the company will renew support for windows 10 pro oem free in the last 18 months or double the company's functions in the SKU.

Customers should expect more and more benefits for Enterprise without having benchmarks for Pro at the same time. To the extent possible, Microsoft will give companies an advantage, even in the smallest spaces.
