Things You Would always Despise about Travel

Solo travelers begin their journey for the first time when they are seeking adventure in their lives. However, when you go for several solo trips over the years, you have to admit that you do get frustrated of a few things. Nonetheless, you need to teach yourself that a few things are best ignored, and your peace of mind is more important than anything else.

The best traveler ever

You will often meet solo travelers who cannot stop bragging about their experiences. They would ask you about the number of countries you have visited. When you tell them it is 20 countries that you have visited, they will laugh over it and say they have traveled to 32! No matter how many places you visit, there will always be someone who has traveled more or less than you. Every traveler is equal and you must never indulge in that dirty contest of letting your fellow travelers down.

The know-it-all folks

There will always be someone who thinks that he or she knows it all. They will try to tell you, rather instruct you about the places that they have visited and you must do what they did! They want to dominate your travel based on their experiences and may even label your previous trips as incomplete because you didn’t do a particular thing in a particular country. Get rid of such travelers who want to pull you into the dirty game of dominating other travelers, just because they think they know it all.

The herd mentality

Most people begin solo travel because they want to travel on the untraveled path, but most of them end up walking the well-laid out path. They go to famous places just because they are safe, and they know the things they can do there. If you want to stay away from this deadly mindset, you must avoid taking the well-known route. Just once, try to take the side route to your destination, enjoy the journey rather than seeking your destination, and see where your luck takes you. If you are in Tamil Nadu, for example, you may hire Car Rentals in Chennai, and drive without a plan to the unknown hills and beaches. You may feel scared for a few moments, but you will not regret it in the end.

Always be high

If you are a solo traveler, people in the hostel expect you to be high on energy all the time. They want you to talk to them, gossip about random experiences, and be up for the party every moment of the day. Isn’t this is what you were seeking escape from when you left your country? You didn’t want to be a part of the burdensome social life, and wanted to meet like-minded people, right? Nonetheless, the peer pressure is there even with the unknown people at times. You need to learn not to bother such people and go ahead with whatever you feel like doing.

The goodbyes are often the most hateful aspect of solo travel, even when you feel romantic emotions for someone. Solo travel is hard unlike what they show in the movies. It is tough living on the road, but the journey must go on.
