Taj hotels opens a second hotel in Udaipur

Taj hotels have opened a second hotel in Udaipur, they have named it Taj Aravali Resort &spa. The first hotel owned by Taj group in Udaipur is the famous Lake Palace hotel which is situated in lake Pichola. According to Magic Lights Wedding Planners, Taj Lake palace has limited space so it is rarely used for events and weddings.

Taj Lake Palace was built in mid eighteenth century. This royal palace gave refuge to some European families during the revolt of 1857. Lake palace was later converted into a hotel, Taj group took over the management of this hotel in 1971.

Taj Aravali Resort & Spa is a large resort which is spread across 27 acers of land. Although it is situated very close to city you can still enjoy breath taking views of Aravali mountains from this resort. It is situated in Bujra near the city of Udaipur.

It is increasingly getting popular as a wedding venue in Udaipur, there have been few weddings organised at this luxury resort in the first year of opening itself. Taj Aravali is also one of the most expensive wedding venues in Udaipur. Udaipur has gained popularity as a wedding destination in recent years and due to this many hotel chains have opened hotels in Udaipur. Probably, this is why Taj group has decided to open a second hotel here.

Taj lake palace is available only for small weddings. The total cost of wedding at Lake Palace hotel could be Rs 90 lakhs for a two day wedding. The cost of rooms at Taj Lake Palace hotel is usually above Rs. 40,000 per night, there are 75 rooms in this luxury hotel.

The cost of a wedding at Taj Aravali Resort & spa will be much higher than Taj Lake Palace hotel, it could be roughly around Rs 2 crores for a 2 day wedding. The cost is higher because there are more number of rooms here and this will increase cost of accommodation and catering.
