This 100 points system is based on certain factors as mentioned below.

Age (maximum score is 12)

If your age is in between 18-35 years you can score the maximum of 12 points. As your age goes high points are reduced. Those people who are 47 or above do not get any points under this factor.

Your highest qualification (maximum score is 25)

The qualifications have been classified as follwoing:

Doctoral degree or Ph.D. level

Professional Degree or Master’s degree

Two or more post-secondary qualification (1 should minimum be of 3 years duration)

Post 12th credential of two years

Proficiency in language (maximum score is 28)

Canada has two official languages: English and French. Under Federal Skilled Worker programme, an applicant can score maximum of 24 points for the English language test and 4 points for the French language. However, a minimum score of CLB level 7 should be scored in the English test to qualify for the FSW programme.
