3 Perks that Come With Annual Travel Insurance

Most people have at least heard of annual travel insurance policies, even if they haven’t ever used one or even thought about purchasing this type of policy. But they have plenty to offer, so if you are thinking about taking a holiday, you should consider whether this is the best type of policy for you.

Here are some of the perks this option can provide you with.

The chance to travel as many times as you like in 12 months

This is probably the best aspect – and the most obvious. You may not think of booking annual travel insurance to cover a fortnight’s summer holiday; however if you plan on having any more time away during the year, you should consider it. It means you’ll get 12 months’ worth of cover so it will cover you not only for those two weeks, but also for the rest of the year. This means you have the freedom to think about going away again during the next year – even if only for the odd weekend away. You'll only have to think about buying a policy once. And that brings us to the next perk…

No hassle for a year

This is another great perk worth thinking about. Booking a good policy doesn’t have to take ages, but if you do take several trips in a year you’ll be booking several policies too – unless you opt for an annual travel insurance policy. When there are so many better things to do with your time this is surely a perk worth remembering!

All the benefits of your policy will cover every trip you make

Most annual travel insurance should provide medical cover, cancellation cover and other areas too - such as personal liability and cover for any theft of money or belongings. If you are only going away for a weekend in the UK you may not even bother getting a policy – yet it is just as important here as it is anywhere else. If your holiday gets cancelled a good policy can cover it so you won't be left out of pocket. Medical cover won’t really be needed in the UK but other aspects of that cover will be. So it is good to know you can enjoy all the benefits of your policy – wherever you may be in the world.

The idea of having good cover for your holiday is one few people could argue with. The more cover you have the more secure you will feel, regardless of where you are going. So if you know you will be travelling more than once in the coming 12 months, there are plenty of reasons to opt for a yearly or multi-trip policy.
