Yes, MBBS in Kyrgyzstan is a good choice for Indian students. Especially for those students who are looking for MBBS in abroad for Indian students at low cost

Why do most people choose to study MBBS in Kyrgyzstan? You must know that the biggest reason for selecting Kyrgyzstan is the cost factor. 75% of students will select to study MBBS in Kyrgyzstan as they don't have the budget to afford education in countries such as Ukraine or Philippines. The low cost doesn't necessarily mean that the quality of education is bad. It is actually good and if you put in the hard work and remain positive, then passing the screening test won't be a big issue.

Here are some key features about MBBS in Kyrgyzstan:

Quality of Education:

In terms of quality of education in Kyrgyzstan, I would like to mention the fact that between 2012–14, the percentage of students passing MCI Screening Test from Kyrgyzstan was same as that of Russia and very close to that of China and Ukraine. This shows that the quality of education imparted is of very high-quality in Kyrgyzstan.

5-year duration:

From 2018 onwards, it is expected that all the universities will have a 5-year duration for MBBS in Kyrgyzstan. This is a big advantage of MBBS in Kyrgyzstan.

Hostel/Indian Mess:

All the universities have hostel facility for foreign students and have Indian mess facility as well.

No Entrance Exam:

There is no requirement to sit for any exam for getting into KSMA or ASMI. However, as per MCI rules, Indian students need to clear NEET for admission in any country abroad for MBBS.

English Medium:

The course is taught in English medium only. The students will also be taught the local languages for daily use and for patient interaction.

Cost:

In terms of cost, MBBS in Kyrgyzstan is the cheapest option for MBBS in abroad. The total tuition fees for the entire course starts from approx.?11–12 lakh (total).

FMGE Result:

Between 2012–14, the FMGE result was good but the same can't be said about the results between 2015–18. The quality of students who go to Kyrgyzstan is not so good and the quality of education is also ok. It is not great nor is it really bad.

The scenario in 2020 and ahead?

The cost of studying MBBS in Kyrgyzstan has actually gone upwards in some colleges. In other cases, it is still possible to complete MBBS from Kyrgyzstan within a budget of?20 lakh which will include tuition fee, hostel fee and mess fee.

Students who do not have a good budget don't really have many choices. Therefore, they go to Kyrgyzstan.

In case your budget is in the range of?25–30 lakh, then you can choose to study MBBS from Ukraine or Russia. The only good reason not to do is that by going to Kyrgyzstan, you will save one year.

Here are the advantages of studying MBBS in Kyrgyzstan -
