The exam has several levels conducted over several days with results after each level. The exam has several levels. Previous evaluations often have an interview point, but interviews with all unpassed positions in the central government were dispensed from 1 January 2016 following a government order. Preliminary

The Tier I review consists of a written intention, four-section multi-choice analysis covering:

Mains Exam

The Tier II Test exists of four parts (sometimes called papers), which cover the topics of Exams, sometimes known as Mains, the written objective multiple-choice examination:

  1. Capacity to measure
  2. Language and understanding of English
  3. Numbers Numbers
  4. Subdivided into: General Research
  5. Accounting & Accounting
  6. Economics & Administration.

Typically, the test was scoring up to 200 marks per segment. The bulk of the roles allowed the applicant only to take the first two portions of the examination. The new iterations of the evaluation, such as variants 2018, was the first segment of this analysis (Paper-I: Quantitative Aptitude, Paper-II: English Language and Comprehension).

Descriptive Paper

An "offline" paper and a pen test wherein applicants write in the form of the written work of essays and letters and, in some cases, accurate and written requests. The examination may be performed in Hindi or English.

Data Entry Skill Test / Computer Proficiency Test

In 2020, two potential exams according to positions were moved to a fourth level:

Speed Test Data Entry (DEST): in fifteen minutes the applicant will enter data at 2000 modifier keys. It refers specifically to positions like tax adjuncts. (Core Income Tax and Excise)

The review in 2016 took place in 44 lots in 96 cities. 3,8 million applicants were registered, of which 1,48 million were investigated by Tier 1. 149,319 Tier 1 member, and 35,096 Tier 2 voters. It was estimated that the number of final positions was around 10,661 for the 2016 exam.
