Sony A6000 uses older 179 Points Phase detection AF and 25 Points Contrast detection AF. while Sony A6100 is a modern camera, so it uses 425 Points Phase detection AF and 425 Points Contrast detection AF.

Talking About Video recording; Sony A6100 can record at 4K / Full HD / 120 fps @ 100 mbps. While Sony A6000 can record at full HD @ 60/90 fps.

Sony A6100 also has a 3.5 mm Microphone jack

  • Time-Lapse : To record Time-lapse in Sony A6000 you need to install an app and then you can record the time-lapse while in case of Sony A6100 there's a built-in Intervalometer with different functions.

  • Electronics Shutter : Electronics shutter means the feature of the camera to take picture in complete silence. This feature is available in Sony A6100 while in Sony A6000 it is not available.
