See Macedonia and be part of Kostoski festival

Folklore festivals Kostoski are folklore festivals that are held throughout the year in Macedonia. Ussualy on the festival are participating different dance groups, modern dance groups, folk dance groups, singing groups like choirs, orchestras, and also in their free time they can go on sightseeeing of ohrid and can swim in Ohrid Lake. Ussualy in summer time the festival has audience from different countries like: Poland, Netherlands, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Serbia, Turkey, Germany, Italy, and other countries, but the most of the tourist on the festival are from Poland, Netherlands and Turkey, because Macedonia is very popular country for the tourist of Poland, Turkey and Netherlands and they are coming every year in bigger number.

Every group that participate to the festival has 5-20 minutes to performe on the stage of the festival and to show what they practisted and prepared, some of the groups are asking for more time and they are performing more than 20 minutes on the stage. The organizers provide excellent PA system for all groups with many microphones that give the groups and spectators great experience.

This folklore festival is held in Ohrid, Ohrid is city in Macedonia and its the biggest tourist destination in Macedonia, because of that the city has tourist throught the year, but the most of the tourst are coming in summer time, because Ohrid has Lake that has very pure water and this lake is one of the biggest and deepest in the Balkans. Also the city has many monuments and churches that you can see, also the city has greath night life, on every corner you can find night clubs, coffe shops, restaurants which the most of them are beside the lake and you can enjoy the view of the lake all the time.

Also the participants of the festival visit the monastery of Saint Naum which is approximetly 29 kilometars far from Ohrid, they go to the center of the city and to the harbor and with ship they go to the beautiful monastery. When the Festival finishes every group gets certificate and go back home.

Despite the place where the festival is held, Macedonia has and other cities that sometimes the Participants of the festival visit. For example sometimes they visit Struga, which is city beside Ohrid lake and approximetly 15 kilometars far for Ohrid. Also there are cities like Skopje which is very interesting and is the capital of Macedonia, the city has aproximetly 1 000 000 citizens and its the biggest city in Macedonia, Skopje its modern metropolis which has big streets and also many monuments that people can see. Like Ohrid, there are many night clubs, restorants, hotels, shops and through the city flows river Vardar, which is big river that goes from Macedonia in Greece. Skopje is industrial city and there are many factories in which many people work. Also sometime the participants of the festival visit Bitola, bitola is city which has approximetly 90 000 people, the city its most famous by his street that is called Sirok Sokak and this street goes through the city center.
