You must have witnessed light-headedness after doing a hard exercise like burpees. This is common among people with low blood pressure and is known as postural hypotension. A rapid change in position leads to a change in blood pressure, which leads to dizziness. When you’re in a horizontal position, your heart gets a good flow of blood. If you shift to a vertical position suddenly, the blood flow to the heart decreases and blood pressure drops. Drink 300ml to 500 ml of water 15-20 minutes before your workout to avoid sudden dizziness.

Dehydration

The total amount of fluid circulating in the heart decreases due to dehydration, even if your blood pressure is normal. You can prevent spells of dizziness by drinking plenty of water, before and after working out. The color of your urine is a good way to find out whether you’re hydrated or not; light yellow is fine and anything darker means you need to drink more water. Low blood sugar

A lot of people feel dizzy during or after exercise due to low blood sugar or hypoglycemia. Blood glucose is the main source of energy for your brain, which if it runs low can affect your functionality and make you dizzy. It is common among diabetics or when you cut down on your calories too much. It can also happen if you exercise without having a proper meal a couple of hours before the workout. Feeling shaky or trembling means you have low blood sugar. Have a carb-rich snack two hours before a workout to avoid this.

Intense workout

The brain requires oxygen in addition to blood sugar to function properly. When you work out too hard, the body is left wanting for oxygen, leaving your brain without enough oxygen. While it is alright to indulge in high-intensity workouts, it is advisable to stop and regain your breath. Experts say that it is best to call it a day if you feel dizzy.

Irregular heartbeat

It is uncommon but still possible. Some people have arrhythmia in which the heart beats too slowly or too quickly, which leads to an irregular heartbeat. Our heart rate determines the blood flow and oxygen delivery to the brain. If the heart beats too slow or fast, you might feel dizzy. Smoking, stress, heart problems, etc. can lead to arrhythmias.
