St Andrews is a marvellous city which has a long and diverse culture surrounding and is known for a vast array of traditions, sights and scenery. The Town St Andrews offers a unique location for its university. The people of the town are quite warm and welcoming. University of St AndrewsEstablished in the year 1413, the University of St Andrews is Scotland’s 1st university and the 3rd-oldest university in the English speaking world. It sits in the heart of the east coast town and offers over 900-degree courses across four faculties: Arts, Divinity, Medicine, and Science. It has a diverse student population with half of the students coming from 120 different countries. Another good thing about St Andrews is that the university has some of the lowest drop-out rates in the country. The university has a very strong alumni network which includes the former First Minister of Scotland Alex Salmond.
All first-year undergraduate students are guaranteed accommodation at one of the university halls, providing that they submit their accommodation application before the deadline. Although many students prefer to stay in private student accommodation St Andrews , as they offer a wide range of room types and a bit cheaper than university halls.
