How do Yahoo users recover disappeared Yahoo emails?

If you have accidentally deleted your Yahoo’s trash folder or the Yahoo emails disappeared from Inbox due to a Yahoo technical glitch, you should not panic. We shall help you in recovering your hacked Yahoo account.

1. Undeleting the Yahoo email

Whenever you delete a Yahoo email, it does not remove itself permanently but instead moves to the Yahoo mail account’s Trash folder until you empty the folder. If your Yahoo message is still in the Trash folder, you can try to undelete it.

  • On the left side of the Yahoo email folder, you will see a navigation pane. Search for the Trash folder in the navigation pane.
  • Click on the Yahoo emails that you want to undelete.
  • Tap on the Move button above the mail list and select Inbox to move the deleted Yahoo emails in the Inbox.

2. Recovering the lost Yahoo emails

If you wish to recover the Yahoo email deleted in 24 hours, or retrieve the Yahoo emails from the emptied Trash folder, you can follow the steps given below:

  • Download all the Yahoo emails received or forward it to a different email address. These messages, once lost, cannot be recovered quickly.
  • Send a Yahoo email restore request by filling the Yahoo Mail Restore Help Form.
  • Click on the drop-down menu to describe the problem. Select the option of "Mail: Accidentally deleted messages on webmail" to describe your issue.
  • Now, choose the time range for when did you last see the missing message.
  • Type your email address in the field provided in the form.
  • Finally, create the request by filling the CAPTCHA.

Recovering the hacked Yahoo account

  1. Visit Yahoo’s sign-in page and type your email address. Then, tap on the Next button.
  2. Now, click on I forgot my password link on the next page. Yahoo’s Forgot password link will direct you to the verification page.
  3. Your phone number or email address linked to your Yahoo account will be partly visible here.
  4. If you have access to Yahoo recovery email address or phone number, click on yes to text you the Account Key button.
  5. If you do not remember your Yahoo account’s email address or contact number, click on "I don’t have access to this phone."
  6. The password recovery screen will prompt you to enter the Account Key sent to your contact number or the email address.
  7. Press the Verify button after entering the Account key.
  8. Once verified, you can create a new password for your Yahoo account.
  9. Tap on the Continue button to save the changes successfully. It will recover your Yahoo account successfully.
