2. Family visa type

This visa type allows the family members of Canada permanent residents or citizens to come to Canada. With the help of the family visas, one can be united with spouse, children, common-

law partner, parents, and grandparents.


a. The applicant has to be a relative (spouse, kid, common-law partner, etc.) to either a permanent resident or a citizen of Canada.

b. Marriage certificate (in the case of the spouse)

d. Birth certificates (for kids)

e. For other relatives, certificates showing the relation to the PR
