If you heard a word "fabric" then the first thing that the most of the people think is the clothes and outfits. No doubt that they are right but some people may fail to realize that the fabric can be used in many areas. Even in theatres also. The huge backdrops and the fabric used to make the chairs are the good example of it. The theatres no doubt have big spotting lights and cameras and those spotting lights can be so much hot that there can be a chance catching fire. However, the fabrics used in the theatres i.e. theatrical fabrics are fire resistant which reduces the threat of catch fire up. These fabrics are also used in making the uniform of firemen, aprons, baking gloves etc.

The fabrics that are commonly used in manufacturing curtains are Commando fabrics, Duvetyne fabrics and muslin-natural or Muslin-Chromakey which usually come in various colors such as Sky blue, Night blue, White, green, Blue, Black. These fabrics are also known as "theatre and event fabrics". Not only in theatres but they are also used as curtains in concert halls, opera houses, different stages, churches and school halls. They come in different varieties, designs, styles, sizes and colors.

The reason being that why these theatre and event fabrics are suitable for theatre purpose is that -they are soft, plain-woven, light in weight and they are relatively cheaper than the other fabrics. They are suitable for hot and dry locations. Due to the adaptability of these theatre fabrics they are widely used in many areas. Various kinds of effects can be painted easily on them.

They are generally strong in nature and fine in texture. In addition, sometimes chemicals can be added to them to give a stiff body and look. These fabrics are also easy to sew or stitch or handle. It is advisable to pre-shrink them for the best results.

Nowadays, you may find many of the vendors who manufacture these types of fabrics. You may also ask them to manufacture a specific style with a unique design. A good and well reputed manufactures always consider both the factors i.e. quantity and quality.

Always tell the manufacturer about your needs and requirements that what actually you are looking for in order to avoid future misunderstanding. Various things that you should consider while dealing with the manufacturer are height, width, fullness, pleating type, fabric options and lining of the fabric. It is also good to check a sample before making any big deal and also determine your budget also.

Always try to approach to the manufacturers who have good reputation in the market and avoid blindly following the local manufacturer of your locality. So, it is far better than searching them online as there are many websites that are available online over the internet. And also, invest some time in reading the reviews of that particular vendor as that will help you a lot in making a good deal.
