Ingredients:
- 8 oz. egg noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- cup chopped onion
- tsp. salt
- tsp. pepper
- tsp. garlic salt
- 24 oz. spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Cooking spray
Directions:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onions together and drain the fat.
- Now add all the spices mentioned above and spaghetti sauce. Mix well.
- Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring it to boil.
- Throw noodles and let it cook in the water uncovered. Keep stirring occasionally.
- After 6 minutes, check the noodles. If cooked, drain them.
- Now in another bowl, mix cottage cheese, sour cream, and cooked noodles.
- Now spray a 2-quart casserole with cooking spray.
- Now layer ½ the beef sauce, ½ the noodles, and ½ the mozzarella.
- Repeat the layers.
- Bake this at 350° F for 30 minutes until the casserole gets browned.
- If you like the top to be extra golden brown, so put the casserole under the broiler for 4 minutes.
- Let it stand for 10 minutes before serving.
