Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. egg noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
    • cup chopped onion

  • 24 oz. spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Cooking spray

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onions together and drain the fat.
  2. Now add all the spices mentioned above and spaghetti sauce. Mix well.
  3. Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring it to boil.
  4. Throw noodles and let it cook in the water uncovered. Keep stirring occasionally.
  5. After 6 minutes, check the noodles. If cooked, drain them.
  6. Now in another bowl, mix cottage cheese, sour cream, and cooked noodles.
  7. Now spray a 2-quart casserole with cooking spray.
  8. Now layer ½ the beef sauce, ½ the noodles, and ½ the mozzarella.
  9. Repeat the layers.
  10. Bake this at 350° F for 30 minutes until the casserole gets browned.
  11. If you like the top to be extra golden brown, so put the casserole under the broiler for 4 minutes.
  12. Let it stand for 10 minutes before serving.
