Do you want to become a Project Manager?
Posted: Oct 24, 2020
Project management is one of the most in-demand occupations in the world, with projects and programmes around the world requiring professionals who are able to direct a team to complete projects and programmes without any problems within a feasible time frame.
The Project Management Institute (PMI) is an internationally recognised organisation that governs the profession and provides qualifications to differentiate the crop cream from the crowd. For beginner project managers, PMI provides CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) as a way to identify emerging talent and encourage them and provide them with more opportunities and better salaries. The CAPM certification is one of the best entry-level certifications available to project managers and provides beginners with tremendous opportunities for development.
On the other hand, it offers one of the most prestigious certifications available to project managers, the PMP course, which represents a qualitative leap from normal project managers. Certified professionals with credentials such as PMP, ECBA, PgMP, CCBA Certification etc., are in demand worldwide and demand high wages along with recognition as they are trained to lead multinational ventures and work on a truly global scale that reaches the heights of the profession.
Will you all go to CAPM?
The disparity in criteria in terms of eligibility is the main difference between CAPM and PMP. CAPM is targeted at project managers who are in the early stages of their career, while PMP is targeted at project managers who have a wealth of experience and are prepared to transition to a more global scale.
There is nothing to distinguish between you and hundreds of other project managers at the beginning of your career who have similar credentials to you, so every single detail counts. A CAPM qualification gives you the extra edge to help you step ahead and stand out from the crowd in the beginning process of your career.
